OurSummer Camp Details

About Us

Founded in 2010, Camp Ebenezer aims to create a safe and affordable environment for children to enjoy during the summer. Our motto, "Creating and fostering caring, ethical leaders," reflects our mission to empower children spiritually and academically over a five-week period while ensuring they have fun. We strive to provide lifelong experiences and wisdom to support children throughout their life journey.

Curriculum

At Camp Ebenezer, students engage in standard classes such as math, reading, and social studies. We review topics from the previous school year and introduce new concepts they will encounter in the upcoming semester. In addition to core classes, we offer electives like art, entertainment, and black history. Every morning, we enrich the children spiritually with Bible classes designed to teach them how to approach life and situations in a Christ-like manner.

Trips / Activities

Every week, the children will go on an exciting trip. Although this year’s destinations are still being finalized, past trips have included Dorney Park, Sesame Place, Clementon Park, Skyzone, and more. In addition, children will swim every Monday and Friday at Christy Rec Center. We ask that girls wear one-piece bathing suits and boys wear proper swim trunks. Please also pack a towel, water shoes, and extra undergarments for younger campers. Traditionally, we end each week with a Friday roller-skating session at Laura Sims Skating Rink on 63rd Street, though this year’s Friday activities are still being planned.

Camp Ebenezer Program Details

Nutrition

We provide breakfast and lunch daily. Breakfast begins at 8:30 AM, and lunch times vary based on class schedules. In the afternoon, children receive a snack. Partnering with the Archdiocese, we ensure that children receive balanced and nutritious meals while in our care.

Recreation

Excluding trip days, students will enjoy outdoor activities at the end of each day, including jump rope, basketball, football, kickball, and dodgeball at our local playground. If weather conditions are unfavorable, we offer indoor activities such as dodgeball, musical chairs, and more.

Closing Program

We invite each and every parent to join us for our closing Program. The closing program is when you get a chance to see all the things your children have learned and done throughout their five weeks here at camp ebenezer. After a display of their brilliance every is welcome to water ice and pretzels.

Parent Orientation

Before the camp begins, every parent must attend an orientation session to understand the program's rules and flow. Children cannot attend camp until their parent has completed an orientation. Sessions are available on Saturday, June 22nd at 11 AM and 1 PM, as well as Thursday, June 27th at 7 PM. If you are unable to attend any of these times, please contact us to arrange an alternative session.
